Northern Coalfields Community Care Association (NCCCA)
Northern Coalfields Community Care Association Ltd (NCCCA) is a registered provider of Aged Care in the
Cessnock area and has been operating since September 1988. The organisation is also a Public Benevolent Institution and a Deductible Gift Recipient.
Mission Statement
• To be a trusted and respected provider of residential and community aged care services.
• To be responsive to individual needs in an effective, efficient and caring manner.
Vision Statement
• To provide high quality care and accommodation to Aged and Disabled people.
• To provide care in continuity for residents in their preferred place of residence with minimal disturbance
or relocation.
Service Objectives
• To provide a homelike and comfortable environment in which you feel secure whilst maintaining an optimum
level of independence.
• To encourage and assist you to participate in a range of activities which will enhance your quality of life
• Endeavour to meet or even exceed your expectations.
• Continue to improve our level of service to you.
• Being responsive to your needs and ensure our services meet your requirements.
• Continually seek your comments on the quality of our services to permit us to meet your expectations.
NCCCA currently manages 139 Aged Care places, 10 Independent Living Units, Community Care provision and has a partnership with Housing NSW of 8 self-care units. We have recently acquired two local Community based organisations, Coalfields NeighbourCare and Cessnock community Transport which now allows us to provide Commonwealth Home Support Programme services as well as Community Transport services. It provides these services through the following facilities:
Abernethy Nursing Home is a high care residential care facility with a capacity of 52 residents.
Jacaranda Grove Hostel is a low care residential care facility with a capacity of 42 residents and 10 Independent Living Units. Abernethy Nursing Home and Jacaranda Grove Hostel are located at 2 Mount View Road, Cessnock along with the main administration area for NCCCA.
Mountain View Lodge Hostel is a low care residential care facility with a capacity for 45 residents located at
28 Jurd Street, Cessnock.
Cessnock Home Care and Support services is a Community Care provider providing In-home care which allows a person who needs assistance to stay in their own home and live as independently as possible
Lower Hunter Transport Services is a Community Transport provider providing the best possible door to door transport for people and carers who find it difficult to use main stream services due to frailty, age, functional disability or for people with no access to a private car or unable to use public transport due to mobility difficulties.
Coalfields NeighbourCare is a Community Care provider, providing social support, Personal Care, Domestic assistance Services and Meals on Wheels to the Frail Aged and Younger People wit a Disability in the Cessnock and lower Hunter region.
